These Terms govern your use of the ExposurePal app and this website. By using either, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use ExposurePal.
What ExposurePal is
ExposurePal is a map game. It draws a fog-of-war map of the places you have actually been, using your device's location, and lets you mark camps, drop blueprints, and collect small in-app rewards for going out. It is made for enjoyment and encouragement. It is not a fitness tracker, navigation aid, safety service, or medical tool.
Not medical advice
ExposurePal is not a medical device, healthcare provider, therapist, crisis service, or clinical tool. It does not diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any condition. If you need medical or mental-health care, contact a qualified professional. If you may be in immediate danger or crisis, call emergency services or a local crisis line.
Go at your own pace, and safely
You decide whether an outing, drive, place, or activity is appropriate for you. The app never asks you to go anywhere; blueprints and suggestions are goals you set yourself. Do not interact with the app while driving, cycling, or in any situation where it would distract you or break the law. Follow local laws, property rules, opening hours, and safety guidance. Do not rely on the map for navigation or for judging whether a place is safe.
Eligibility
You must be 13 or older to use ExposurePal. If you are under 18, use it with a parent or guardian's permission.
No accounts, your data
The app has no accounts and no server. Your map, camps, photos, and rewards are stored on your device only. You are responsible for backing up your device; if you delete the app, that data is gone and we cannot recover it. See the Privacy Policy for details.
The waiting list
If you leave your email on this website, we store it to send you one message when the app is released, and occasionally news about it. You can ask us to remove it at any time by writing to the address below.
Your content
You keep ownership of any photos, names, and notes you add inside the app. Because everything stays on your device, we never see them.
In-app rewards
Embers, pulls, chests, wardrobe items, and any other in-app rewards have no monetary value, cannot be bought, sold, or transferred, and may change or be removed as the app evolves.
Acceptable use
Do not misuse the app or website, interfere with their operation, attempt unauthorized access, or use ExposurePal to violate anyone's rights or the law, including trespassing.
Changes and availability
ExposurePal may change over time. We may add, remove, suspend, or discontinue features. We do not guarantee that the app or website will always be available or error-free. Map imagery comes from Apple Maps and is subject to Apple's terms.
Disclaimer
ExposurePal is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, to the fullest extent allowed by law.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent allowed by law, ExposurePal and its operator will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for loss of data, profits, goodwill, or other intangible losses arising from your use of the app or website, including anything that happens on an outing.
Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. The updated version will be posted here with a new effective date.
